Seriously, out of all the animals across the entire animal kingdom, big cats are the worst offense to animal lovers. Think about it - cats are the domesticated delight of humanity. Cats are practically in everyone's houses, and if they're not in the house - they roam our streets, like the integral part of modern society that they are. So when it comes to big cats, these apex predators that could finish a human off with no pawblem (if they wanted to), it's like seeing a huge cake knowing you can never eat from it.

It's seeing these massive cats in front of you, knowing you can never do anything you do with your cat to them. You can't pet them. You can't play with them. You can't give them yummy treats. They'll eat you, or something. Sure, this jaguar might look majestic, but it's hard to remember they're a wild animal, and not a cat to "here, kitty kitty" towards them.

But we can dream, okay? We can dream of a tiger purring on our lap because we pet them. We can dream of a cheetah doing the zoomies at our house around 3 AM every night. We can dream of a lion meowing gently because you give them a cat treat. Just let us meowing dream.

“Run for your life when you see one of them”…? No, don't be silly, pspsps them over. They're just cats with more cat in them, waiting to be petted so they can purr in peace. Also, they're beautiful. Beautiful baby cats. Are we the only ones who see it this way?

Yes, cheetahs do blep when their silly gets too high, it's true. They're still a very dangerous animal when met in an unmediated way, but did you know they do other cat-like things that make them seem extremely cute? Like, maybe the cutest of all big cats. Cheetahs actually meow, very similarly to cats. It's really adorable when you hear it. And they also purr! Which basically puts them automatically at the top of the cutest big cats chart.

We can't explain this friend-shaped face that tigers have. People keep telling us all our lives that tigers are apex predators, that we need to stay away if we accidentally encounter them in the wild, that the only safe place we can interact with them is through the bars of a zoo - and not even that.
